From Germany to The UK, there have been massive street protests to mark solidarity with the non violent anti nuclear protesters in India.
The issue has struck a cord with ordinary citizens in these countries who have seen the effects of this nuclear folly for decades.
What strikes these protesters is the most blatant Human Rights Violations in India against the Kudankulam protesters. "In a land of Mahatma Gandhi, the state is using all its resources to muzzle a non violent protest and that too a hunger strike. It is madness" is the sentiment echoed by the protesters.
Recently, Amnesty International and other Human Rights organizations cautioned the Indian Government on this issue.
