Study says integrated generation a step away - Power Engineering

Brazil's wind energy association AbeeĆ³lica has released a study revealing the integration of hydroelectric, solar and wind generation is a "step from becoming reality."
Consultancy firm Engenho, which produced the report, said favorable climatic conditions in Brazil provided the ideal platform for integrated power production.
The report includes a recommendation to install solar plants in wind farms, an idea currently being investigated by Brazilian power firm Copel (NYSE: ELP).
"We have looked into the prospect of constructing a facility in the state of Rio Grande do Norte but at this stage I can't say anymore because the plan is yet to be approved," a spokesperson told BNamericas.
