This presentation was created by Werner B. Koldehoff of the German Solar Industry Association and was originally presented at the 7th Annual Germany California Solar Day in Los Angeles, CA.
The presentation notes, in comparison to the US, that two of the key reasons for the success of the German solar thermal market are public interest and awareness campaigns, and also stable market deployment mechanisms. Large scale solar thermal district heating has proven itself effective in cold climates like Canada. Likewise, the presentation highlights successful solar cooling installations in Florida.
